About the Student and Family Support Office

At the Waterloo Catholic District School Board, strong partnerships between families and schools are central to student success. The Student and Family Support Office is here for those moments when a question or concern hasn’t been resolved at the school level and you need additional support.

This office, and the resolution process outlined below, reflect our commitment to the Ministry of Education’s Policy/Program Memorandum No. 170 — School Board Communication with Parents, which sets province-wide standards for how school boards acknowledge and respond to parent inquiries.

Resolving a Concern

We invite you to use the step-by-step resolution process outlined below to find the most direct contact for your needs. If you have completed the initial steps and require more help, please fill out the intake form below.

Step 1 – Speak to a Teacher or Staff Member

Speak directly to a teacher or staff member about your concern. If the issue is not resolved, proceed to step two.

Step 2 – Speak to the Principal

Speak to the Principal, the person with the concern believes the issue is not resolved, they may speak to the Superintendent of Learning responsible for the school.

Step 3 – Submit an Inquiry

If your concern remains unresolved, please complete the Inquiry Form below or reach out by phone or email. We will acknowledge your inquiry within two business days and make every effort to provide a full response within five business days. If more time is needed, we will let you know when to expect one.
