Extended Day Registration 2026-27: Key Dates and Updates
Starting May 19, 2026, WCDSB’s Extended Day Program registration moves from OneList to a new platform, Mekanys, which has been tailored specifically for the Board’s programs and families.
What’s new this year, based on family feedback:
- Siblings can now be registered together in one process
- Currently enrolled families who register between May 19 and 29, 2026 will receive priority placement for the upcoming year
Key dates:
- May 19, 2026 at 8:30 a.m.: registration opens for all families
- May 19 to 29, 2026: priority window for current families
- Week of June 1, 2026: confirmation and placement status sent to families
Fees: Daily fees will increase by $1 (approximately two per cent) for 2026-27. This applies to families not covered under the CWELCC program.
For currently enrolled families: No action is needed to maintain current programming. All 2026-27 registrations will go through Mekanys starting May 19.
What’s next: Families will receive a follow-up communication before May 19 with a step-by-step Mekanys guide and the direct registration link. FAQs have been updated, and the team is available at extended.day@wcdsb.ca or 519-578-3660, ext. 2225.
