The following list is not meant to be exhaustive but does offer some online sources for information pertinent to parental involvement in schools.

Ministry of Education – main site for all things having to do with the Ministry of Education.
abc123 – gives parents practical ideas on fun and everyday ways to help their children with reading, writing and math
School Improvement Planning Handbook – This site has a very detailed handbook, available for downloading, to address school improvement planning. It is essentially the work of the Education Improvement Commission of 2000. It is a practical document.
Involving Parents in Schools – This part of the Ministry website offers practical suggestions to school councils to center their efforts in increasing parental involvement in a productive manner.
Parent Voice in Education Project – this is the Ministry of Education website to explain the practical aspects of the new policy concerning parental involvement in schools.
Resource Guide to Online Help for Parents – very comprehensive part of the Ministry website offering assistance to parents with questions about varied aspects of school life for students i.e. the Ontario Curriculum, EQAO testing, Interacting with schools, and, Helping your child learn, etc.
Ontario Provincial Education Network — This is the area of the Ministry website where you can sign up for a newsletter that will inform you of upcoming events and initiatives pertinent to parents in education in Ontario. As well you can directly contact the Minister of Education from this address to express concerns and/or ask questions.
