St. Francis Frequently Asked Questions

Please find below the Frequently Asked Questions for St. Francis (St. Louis Adult Education).

About the Relocation

The St. Francis facility will be prepared to temporarily accommodate the St. Bernadette school community while its replacement school is being constructed. St. Louis programs and services currently operating at St. Francis must therefore relocate before those preparations begin.

Move activities are planned to begin at the start of summer 2027. Confirmed dates will be shared with learners, staff, and community partners as relocation planning advances.

Programs and Locations

The LINC and ESL programs currently offered at St. Francis Monday to Friday will need to be relocated starting September 2027. The International Languages Program Office and Summer Fun with Languages that previously ran out of the St. Francis campus in July will be housed at an alternative location. Program-specific information will be provided when relocation plans are confirmed.

At this time, the plan is for the Saturday morning International Languages program to remain at the St. Francis location during St. Bernadette’s time there, but this plan will be confirmed prior to the program registration in spring 2027.

Current programs and staff will remain in place for the current school year. Future locations are being reviewed. The Board will share confirmed addresses, operating hours, contact information, and effective dates before any move occurs.

Learners, Registration, and Accessibility

Current learners will receive direct notice with their program location, start date, hours, and contact information as part of the registration process for the upcoming year.

Staff and Community Partners

Staff will be provided with information through normal board and school processes.
The board will provide direct updates to affected partners and agencies so they can revise referral information and help learners access the correct programs and locations.

Updates and Questions

Updates will be shared through direct notices, the WCDSB and St. Louis websites, registration materials, on-site signage, and community partner communications.

Any questions you have may be shared with the St. Louis Principal, Program Managers, or can be sent via email to stbernadettemove@wcdsb.ca. Questions that cannot be answered immediately will be tracked and addressed as decisions are made.
