French Exchange Information Meetings
The International Education Services Department is pleased to announce that we are offering WCDSB grade 10 students an immersive, reciprocal Exchange opportunity in the Brittany and Loire Regions of France. Join us for the information sessions to learn more about our Exchange opportunity for Grade 10 students taking Core or French Immersion in 2026-27.

Information Session Details
Dates: January 12, 2026 at 7:00pm to 8:00pm at St. Benedict Catholic Secondary School or January 15, 2026 at 6:00pm to 7:00pm at St. David Catholic Secondary School.

DELF B1 Exam (2025-26)
Written Exam:
Tuesday April 14, 2026 – 12noon-2pm
Registration opens at 11:30am.
Location: Doubletree by Hilton / 30 Fairway Rd S Kitchener – Waterloo Ballroom
Oral Exam:
Wednesday April 15, 2026
Participants will be sent a specific time slot between 10am-3pm for their oral interview.
Location: Doubletree by Hilton / 30 Fairway Rd S Kitchener – Waterloo Ballroom
Public Transportation:
GRT buses #206 from Cambridge, #1 and #8 from K-W stop right in front of the Doubletree at the Fairway/King stop.
The #301 iON train and many other bus routes stop at Fairway Mall which is a 15-minute walk from the Doubletree.
Each Secondary school is allotted 8 spaces. Speak to your Grade 12 French teacher if you are interested in this opportunity. To be eligible, students must have taken a Grade 12 French course in 2025-26.
AP French
FSF 2DP / FSF 3UP / FSF 4UP
Advanced Placement: French Language and Culture
Offered at St. Mary’s Catholic Secondary School
Contact your Guidance Counsellor to switch into AP French or an AP French Prep course. Speak to one of the French teachers at your school for more information about these courses.
Intensive French
FSF 1DV
This Core French credit is designed to meet the needs of students coming from:
- An Intensive or Extended French program
- A French Immersion program
- A French first-language school
- A bilingual home or community
