Want to Know...

Want to know how your child is developing?

The Nipissing Developmental District Screen (NDDS) is an easy to use tool that asks questions about your child’s vision, hearing, speech, language, communication and social/emotional growth. It also suggests activities that you can do with your child to help them develop.
Complete the checklist before school starts by visiting  eNDDS.ca (note: Parents will need to create a free account) .

Call Region of Waterloo Public Health at 519-575-4400 (TTY: 519-575-4608) if you:

  • need help completing the checklist, or
  • if there are check marks (a) in any “no” answers,

A Public Health Nurse will help you with the results and suggest services.

Want to know if your child is a healthy eater?

Nutri-eSTEP asks questions about your child’s eating habits and physical activity level. The results tell you what is going well, if there are areas you can work on, and gives information and links to resources that you can use to improve your child’s eating and physical activity habits.  .  Call EatRight Ontario at 1-877-510-5102 and talk to a Registered Dietitian for free to answer your questions about Nutri-eSTEP (help is available in different languages).
