In Elementary school, French Immersion students spend 50% of the day learning in French (FSL, Science and Technology, Social Studies, the Arts, Physical Education and Health), and 50% of the day learning in English (Language, Math, Religion and Family Life). French Immersion is an optional program. Limited enrollment is offered at six sites: Our Lady of Fatima, St Peter, St Anne (Kitchener), Sir Edgar Bauer, St Luke, and Holy Rosary. To indicate interest in registering for Grade 1 French Immersion, families must register for the lottery, held in January, when they are in Senior Kindergarten.
