Our Ongoing Response to the Challenges of COVID-19
It’s been 30 months (March 12, 2020) since the Ontario government first shut down schools due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
And, as we have all come to appreciate since then, COVID 19 changed pretty much everything: from how we interact socially, to how we work and play and learn.
The education system we knew back in March 2020 is not the same education system students, staff and parents are experiencing today.
While it is welcome news that the government has removed most COVID-19 restrictions in schools, as we continue learning and working together in the ever-changing era of COVID-19, we must maintain our vigilance to safeguard our ability to keep our schools running.
Ongoing success will require the continued patience, respect, and good will of all. As a school system we remain very grateful for the ongoing support and partnership of the entire WCDSB family, as we do our best to keep our students learning, healthy, happy, and engaged.
Rest assured, our quality, inclusive, faith-based education system is standing as strong as ever strong in the face of ongoing COVID-19 challenges.
The efforts of WCDSB staff these past two-plus years have been nothing short of heroic!
