This administrative procedures memorandum establishes the parameters governing Student Services partnerships with community and government organizations and/or agencies. Its intent is to ensure partnerships are held to specific operating standards and are consistently developed and implemented. A protocol is a written document that enables school boards to form partnerships with external agencies in the areas of regulated health professionals, regulated social services professionals and paraprofessionals. For example, the board might form a partnership with an agency to provide a particular service not provided by board staff such as substance abuse or eating disorders counselling.
