Important Survey to Support Government Review of Ontario’s Child Care & Early Years System

The Ontario government wants to hear about how the early years and child care system is meeting the needs and expectations of parents, guardians and child care stakeholders.

This information will support the review of the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 (CCEYA) and help improve the system to better meet the needs of families.

The government recognizes that the province’s state of emergency and its ongoing efforts to promote physical distancing to slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) have had a substantial impact on both parents and the child care and early years sector.

The government also recognizes the integral role that child care plays in supporting families, especially when it comes to enabling parents to return to work, and to contribute to the economic recovery of the province.

This SURVEY asks you to comment on your experience with:

  • the current child care and early years system, including its strengths and opportunities for improvement
  • before-school, after-school and other children’s recreation programs
  • quality of child care and early years programs and the inclusion of all children, including those with special and/or medical needs

The survey takes about 15 minutes and is open until July 21, 2020.
