How do I register for an online course?
Students should contact their home school guidance counsellor who will provide them with the necessary information. All course selections, whether day school, summer school, night school, or E-Learning, should be approved by a student's guidance counsellor. That person is qualified to help the student make good academic choices, balance course loads, and strive for academic success.
How do I access my online course?

What is expected of a student in an online course?
The same rules that govern a regular class apply in an online class environment. Participation in class discussions and group activities is required. You must complete all assignments and meet deadlines for the submission of work. When you login to your online class, your teacher will make you aware of course policies, rules and procedures. Read all of these carefully. You should be especially aware of the following considerations:
- You must login consistently to the Waterloo Catholic District School board E-Learning web site to receive teacher instructions and participate in class activites for the duration of the course
- Failure to consistently participate in the class will result in your teacher following up with your parents / guardians. If for any reason you are unable to participate in the class for more than three classes, you must inform your teacher in advance.
- You must always respect the values of our Catholic faith (eg. diginity of the human person) when communicating with your classmates and instructor. This includes the use of appropriate language and tone and awareness of and sensitivity to the feeling of others.
- Students must adhere to the Waterloo CDSB Acceptable Use Policy. This policy is included in the AUP contract that students and their parents must sign before students are granted computer and internet access at our schools. Any abuse of the policy may result in removal from your online class.
