John Sweeney Memorial Scholarship
The John Sweeney Memorial Scholarship is presented in recognition of John Sweeney’s Catholic leadership and his contribution to our system, our community and our province. The award is presented annually to a graduate of Waterloo Region’s Catholic Schools who is attending St. Jerome’s University and who demonstrates academic excellence along with qualities such as perseverance, loyalty, integrity, commitment and a balanced involvement in their school, church and civic community. The award is given at the graduation exercises of the recipient’s Secondary School.
